Most of the pictures I took for this assignment were from the gardens, except for the goldfish, which was taken at my friend's wedding reception (those were the centerpieces). I noticed tonight that the quality of my pictures went noticeably down from the .psd doc to the posted .jpg. I'm sure it's happened with the other pictures I've uploaded, but I just didn't notice until tonight when all my colors seemed washed out compared to how they look in photoshop. That was kind of frustrating. I used a levels adjustment layer and upped the saturation on all of these except for the second one—the original was good enough as is.

  1. Cool photos this week! I love the contrast between the cooler colors and the bright orange in the goldfish one. It's a really creative shot — I didn't expect to see one like this! I also love the colors in the flower and tomato shot. The apple tree is really well-composed, but I think the colors are a little bland.

  2. Your goldfish shot is by far the best shot because it shows that you weren’t just taking snap shots around but actually taking pictures. This was no accent shot and I love it. The gold fish are placed perfectly I also love the hint of blue that contrasts with the Orange in the fish and the flower. Great shot.

  3. The picture of the goldfish is wonderful! It looks like a professional photo! Your lighting and composition in each of your pictures is really good too! The color of the daisies is striking! Great job!
